Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her signature spikey blonde locks and pump to the max, shares the simplest techniques that anyone could grasp. Chef Burrell was also employed in several of the city's most prestigious establishments, studied Italian food and the traditions associated with it, and took part in Food Network Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for food and cooking at very young. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her following graduation with an Associate of Arts degree in English as well as Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. She says "I enjoyed being a Culinary Institute Of America student. I loved every minute of it." It was impossible to learn about, practice or do all the things I did. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) and attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate the Italian style of living and the culture and this has left an impact on her own eating habits. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten the lives of children facing issues and also is an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador, where she advocates for children with diabetes and awareness. As a speaker, Burrell is on the road to speak about her passion for food and her culinary career. Anne stated that she felt privileged in that she could be able to share her passion for cooking with others.
