Markie Post
Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek,
California. Her first professional work was in television and film productions
like "Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986). Then,
she created projects like Double Dare (1976). Also, she has appeared on TV
programs such as 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra
Woman (2001), and Dyna Girl (2001). She was perhaps best known for her part in
"Christine Sullivan", a Night Court star (1984). She was in an entire
156 episodes of this show, from 1984 to 1992. She was the daughter of Marylee
(Armstrong) Post, poet and noted nuclear physicist Richard Freeman Post
(November 14 1918 - April 7 15th, 2015). Two daughters were born to her
husband, Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1987) and Daisy Ross
(born March 30 in 1990). Born in Palo Alto, California, and grew up in Walnut
Creek, California. As cheerleader, she attended Las Lomas High School located
in Walnut Creek. Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon awarded her a
Bachelor of Arts degree. She was a trick roper in The Wildest West Show of the
Stars (1986). She was cremated and her ashes returned to Michael A. Ross. She
was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post, who was three months from her 71st
birthday date on November 4 2021, passed away on the 7th of August. She passed
away just 27 days following her fellow Night Court (1984) co-star Charles
Robinson, who passed away on July 11, 2021. Although the two shows were not
related, Night Court (1984) concluded with Christine Sullivan's character
relocating to Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) started with Post as Georgie
Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), and she later moved to
a smaller community following her work in Washington DC.
