Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger is a daughter
of Kjellfrid Andreassen who was a former midwife and nurse from Norway. She was
born on April 25 of 1969 in Katy. Her father, Emil Erich Zellweger, is a
Swiss-born engineer. They got married in the year 1963. Renee has a brother
named Drew Zellweger, a marketing executive who was born on February 15 in
1967. Renee was a member of the drama group at high school and began to be
interested in acting. She enrolled in an acting class at University of Texas
(Austin) and began to consider acting as a profession. She was determined to
act after graduation, but Hollywood can be a difficult field to break into.
Renee decided not to quit Texas and auditioned in Houston for roles. While
working on the sequel, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1994), she
befriended Matthew McConaughey, another Hollywood newcomer. Renee noticed him
working on a project , and she auditioned. She was offered the role in Love and
45 (1994). The role earned her enough praise that she moved to Los Angeles. Her
breakthrough came in another film role in The Whole Wide World (1996). Cameron
Crowe was busy with casting Jerry Maguire (1996) with Tom Cruise. Crowe was
watching actresses such as Bridget Fonda and Marisa Tomei when they appeared on
Zellweger's The Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned Zellweger and was
certain he had found the perfect Dorothy Boyd. After her success in a handful
of independent movies, Renee felt confident enough for her return to the
large-budget Hollywood film industry. Meryl Streep was a co-star in One True
Thing (1998). Also, she starred with Jim Carrey in Me, Myself & Irene
(2000) and began dating Carrey in the following year. Bridget Jones's Diary
(2001).
