Rita Ora Bio

Rita Ora, a British artist and singer. She was born Rita Sahatciu Ora in 1990 in Pristina, Kosovo, to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatciu. She is the grandchild of director Besim Sahatciu. When she was just one, her family made the decision to move to the United Kingdom. Her birthplace was in West London, attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School at Earls Court and graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School. She began singing at a young age. In 2004, she was featured in the British film Spivs. The film featured her audition for Eurovision The Country That is in need of You as a British participant in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. However, she pulled out of the contest after just a few episodes because she didn't feel ready. Ora released her first single in 2007 when she appeared on the song of Craig David titled "Awkward" Then she made a second appearance in 2008 on "Where’s Your Love" featuring TinchyStryder. Ora began singing in bars across London. Roc Nation was informed by an A&R representative about Ora in 2009, a couple of days after Ora traveled to New York and met Jay-Z. In 2009, Ora made a cameo on Jay-Z's music video for "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z was intrigued by Ora's talents and quietly signed the singer to Roc Nation. In which Ora was included in a commercial for Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik owned a pub and she began her singing career from that same pub. She cites Gwen Stefani as a major influence in the way she conducts herself, as well as her band No Doubt's "Don't Speak" (1996) as one of her top songs.Her video from 2016 for Tezenis, The Silk Code, is the title of a novel that received the Locus Award for Best First Science Fiction Novel of 1999.She was considered for the role of Iris West in Justice League (2017) before Kiersey Cymons was chosen to play the role. The actress is close to Kate Moss, and Ed Sheeran.
