Padma Lakshmi Bio

Padma Parvati Lakshmi is a Indian from Chennai who was born September 1 1970. Lakshmi's parents split at the age of two. Her mother fled India to escape the stigma of divorce in India and moved to the United States. Lakshmi resided in Chennai with her maternal grandparents for two years before she moved to the United States. Both her parents divorced, and she was blessed with a younger halfbrother and half-sister of her father. Lakshmi's last name is associated with Hindu goddess, prosperity and wealth. She was born in New York and raised in Los Angeles. She would visit India for a few months every year to visit her relatives. Padma Lakshmi discovered acting was something she was interested in during 1999. She first appeared in the film "Figlio of Sandokan" which was an Italian pirate film. Then, she was an important role in 'Caraibi' (Pirates Blood Brothers), the drama about pirates of the 17th century. In 2001, she was a comedy supporting role as a singer in discos in 'Glitter.' Padma is married to Adam Dell, a venture capitalist, and has one daughter, Krishna Thea Lakshmi Dell. Krishna was born on February 20, 2010 aged 20. She has also been involved with Teddy Forstmann, the ex-chairman and CEO of IMG. Lakshmi is currently dating American venture capitalist Adam Dell, has a daughter who is named Krishna. Although she initially kept the identity of the child's father a secret, Lakshmi later revealed him to be Dell. The girl said to her daughter, "Everything is better when she's there." "Anything that happens from the start of the day until end. I have no desire for anyone else than her.
